The 4-star La Campière campsite is located in a remarkable natural area in Saint-Georges-d’Oléron. Inspired by this natural setting, it’s only natural that we adopt an eco-responsible approach, practicing behaviors that respect our environment.
Our commitments
For many years, the campsite on the Ile d’Oléron has been committed to reducing its environmental impact.
As a result, our rental fleet consists mainly of wooden chalets and tent lodges.
Waste management is undoubtedly the main showcase for our eco-responsible actions, but our educational approach to resource conservation is not to be outdone.
The use of renewable energies, particularly solar power, is constantly evolving.
Since 2025, the eco-responsible Saint-Georges-d’Oléron campsite has been working alongside the EAU17 water distribution syndicate to raise holidaymakers’ awareness of the vital need to preserve this resource.

Our actions in favor of the environment accompany you every day during your stay at La Campière campsite, including the organization of our events and activities in Saint-Georges-d’OIéron.
When you arrive, a bio-bucket will be given to you, or will be waiting for you in your rental unit, so that you can help reduce the volume of household waste. to be treated by selective sorting. Every new installation or renovation is an opportunity to do away with plastics and synthetics. Wooden structures are omnipresent on the campsite, helping to integrate them into the landscape.
As part of our efforts to conserve water, all the taps on the campsite and in the rental units are equipped with flow reducers, so you can still enjoy the comfort and pleasure of a shower.
Since 2024, hot water for sanitary facilities has come from solar energy.
Our cleaning team is also keen to limit its ecological impact by limiting the number of wash-downs and using biodegradable cleaning products. In addition to the actions carried out on the campsite, we work as much as possible in short circuits with local economic players and invite holidaymakers to visit local producers to discover the wonderful products of Oleron.
